CONGLETON ENGINEERING DEVELOPMENTS LTD is a small but dynamic general mechanical engineering company, based in the North West town of Congleton in Cheshire. Started as a sub contract engineering firm in Cheshire in 1973. We have since evolved our remit to encompass the development of our own products whilst maintaining the scope of our original Sub Contract business. We also specialise in bespoke engineering and in producing commercial vehicle accessories for the commercial vehicle industry including commercial vehicle parts, Ratchet Tensioners for Curtainsiders & roof support pillars. We are also the main parts and spares supplier to Boalloy Industries and can provide parts and spares for all Boalloy built vehicles

Commercial Vehicle Hardware

At Congleton Engineering we are specialist designers and manufacturers of bodywork and trailer fixings for the transport industry. With over 30 years experience we were responsible for designing and developing the first ratchet tensioners and roof support pillar for Gerald Broadbent's Taultliner. Today we supply leading commercial vehicle body and trailer builders with first class fixings such as curtain sided vehicle accessories, our curtain tensioner and curtain sided vehicle parts that are both proven and have stood the test of time. CONGLETON ENGINEERING DEVELOPMENTS LTD was formed in 1973. We later opened our sheet metal division affectionately named CED2 this has allowed us to compete with the ever increasing diversity of contracts received.

Congleton Engineering developments ltd main site consists of 3 main departments. The machine shop with manual 1-off lathes and millers to Cnc machining and Cnc milling machines for mass production, a welding and fabrication shop & a fitting / spray department. The sheet metal unit has Cnc punching machines, press brakes & guillotines along with a fully equipped galvanise welding booth and spot welder.
